Sindhri is closely associated with Sindh, where the commercial mango season usually opens. Research on fruit from Mirpurkhas describes a substantially larger mango than Langra, with a pleasant aromatic flavour, and its generous size makes it easy to recognise.
Punjab’s Mango Research Institute lists it from early June to early July. Dried, we expect it to be the most delicate of our three; we will confirm its tasting notes against our first finished batch. Until then, we like the idea of it torn over a salad or eaten with soft cheese.
