The mangoes
What is in Golden Multan dried mango?
Just mango. Each pouch is 100% fresh mango of the variety named on it, with no preservatives or additives. The skill is in the drying, done by hand in small batches so that each variety keeps its own colour, aroma and texture.
Why is Golden Multan sold by pre-order?
Because it is made to order. With nothing added to preserve it, Golden Multan is at its best fresh, so we make each limited-edition batch from the best mangoes of the season for the people who have reserved it. They receive it first.
Why does Golden Multan cost more than supermarket dried mango?
Most dried mango is anonymous fruit, often sweetened or preserved, made in bulk. Golden Multan is a named, single-variety mango from the best farmers in Pakistan, dried by hand in small batches with nothing added, made to order and presented as a gift. Each variety is a limited edition of the harvest.
What is Golden Multan?
Golden Multan is a Pakistani dried mango brand, named after Multan, the city known as Pakistan’s mango capital. It works with the best farmers across Pakistan, including its partner Abdali Mango in Multan. It dries, packs and quality-checks everything at its own site in Dharabi, Chakwal. It sells single-variety dried mango: White Chaunsa, Anwar Ratol and Sindhri. It is part of The Castruriali Group’s developing countries initiative.
Is Golden Multan made by Castruriali?
No. Golden Multan is a separate brand, made entirely in Pakistan at our own site in Dharabi, Chakwal. Castruriali extra virgin olive oil is grown and made entirely in Sicily. Both belong to The Castruriali Group, which brings its Sicilian farming knowledge and British and Italian food standards to Golden Multan.
Does Golden Multan plant trees?
Yes. Through Founding Leaf, for every pouch we sell we plant and tend one fruit tree in Pakistan. A Golden Collection gift box plants three. Planting starts with the 2027 harvest.
Why does The Castruriali Group invest in Pakistan?
To create skilled, lasting work where it is needed. Castruriali receives far more applications from developing countries to work on its Sicilian farms than it could ever accept, so the Group took its knowledge to them instead. Golden Multan creates handmade jobs and training for young people in rural Punjab, bringing British and Italian food standards together with Sicilian craft.
Where do the mangoes come from?
From the best farmers we can find across Pakistan, each variety from wherever it grows best. Our official partner farm is Masha Allah Bagh in Multan, in southern Punjab, whose mangoes are sold as Abdali Mango.
Where is Golden Multan made?
Golden Multan works from Multan and from Dharabi in the Chakwal district, both in Pakistan’s Punjab. Our own site is on Dharabi Dam Road, near the Balkassar Interchange of the M-2 Motorway in Chakwal District, just before TDCP Dharabi Lake Resort. Every mango comes to Dharabi to be peeled, sliced, dried and packed. Every batch is quality-checked there before it is sealed.
What does single variety mean?
Each pouch holds one named mango variety and nothing else. White Chaunsa, Anwar Ratol and Sindhri taste noticeably different, so we dry and pack them separately rather than blending them.
What is the difference between White Chaunsa, Anwar Ratol and Sindhri?
Sindhri is a large mango closely associated with Sindh and one of the first of the season. Anwar Ratol is a much smaller mango, prized for its flavour and in season early in the summer. White Chaunsa is a late Chaunsa selection with whitish-yellow flesh; Punjab’s Mango Research Institute lists it from mid-August to mid-October. Our guide to Pakistani mango varieties covers these and many more.
How big is a pouch?
Each variety comes in a 150g resealable pouch. The Golden Collection gift box holds one 150g pouch of each of the three varieties.
How much is delivery?
In the UK, Royal Mail Tracked 48 is £3.95 (free on orders of £40 or more). Tracked 24 is £4.95. You can also collect for free from London, Dubai, Islamabad or Golden Multan in Dharabi. We sell in the UK, Pakistan and the UAE first and can ship to many other countries: delivery outside the UK is quoted at cost, including postage, duty and packaging. Delivery is paid with your balance when your order is ready, not with the deposit.
Reserving
How much does Golden Multan cost?
Every 150g pouch is £10, including Anwar Ratol, White Chaunsa, Sindhri and the Seasonal Selection. The Golden Collection gift box, with one pouch of each variety, is £25, less than the three pouches bought separately. Pre-order before 31 December 2026 for 40% off: £6 a pouch and £15 a gift box.
Do I pay anything when I reserve?
Yes, a deposit: a fixed £3 for each pouch and £9 for each gift box, whatever you pay for it (it is not a percentage of the price). It secures your share of a limited allocation from the 2027 harvest. The balance is due when your order is ready to dispatch. Any offer discount comes off the balance.
Is the allocation really limited?
Yes. Each variety is picked in its own short season, so there is only so much of it: 1,000 of each pouch and 300 gift boxes for the 2027 harvest. Reservations are first come, first served.
When will my order arrive?
The varieties are picked from late May into the autumn, then dried and packed. When your order is ready, we email you a link to pay the balance and confirm delivery. Reservation holders are served first.
What if you cannot deliver my order?
Then your deposit is refunded in full. Your statutory rights as an online customer, including your right to cancel, are explained in our reservation terms.
Is there a limit on how much I can reserve?
You can reserve up to 48 of each item on the website. For larger quantities, use our wholesale enquiry form and we will quote trade terms.
